Ignite! Powered by Dancers Studio, originated in 2022 like a phoenix from legendary and internationally acclaimed Tennessee Children’s Dance Ensemble. Under the tutelage of Irena Linn, Founding Director, Toi B. Brown, Artistic Director, has re-IGNITEd a new company of dancers ranging from elementary aged students of 8 years old to young adults of 18 years old. Former members of the Tennessee Children’s Dance Ensemble along with an additional dancers now power Ignite! and bring a new spark to the performance stage using their training and knowledge in modern, jazz, contemporary dance, and other dance techniques. Some of Knoxville’s best instructors along with professional choreographers from around the globe alongside pieces from choreographers within the studio, Dancers Studio, will have their works showcased in our professional level dance performances. Ignite! prides itself on not only its artistic and technical excellence, but also its dedication to dance through rigorous dance instruction from Dancers Studio, which was a recipient of the 2022 “Best of Knoxville” Dance Studio Award and has served Knoxville and the surrounding communities in classical dance training for over 60 years.
