What is happening?

Ignite!, based out of Knoxville, TN, will be going on an arts & culture exchange with Artistry Youth Dance. Artistry Youth Dance, based out of London, England, UK, is a dance company whose mission is to support young people of African and Caribbean heritage by empowering them through creative dance development, high quality training, and performance opportunities.

 All companies will work together to learn a new collaborative piece with a London or European based choreographer to perform in the AYD yearly show. Ignite! will also perform one of its original pieces in the collaborative show.  

During Ignite!’s time in London they will also experience training from world renowned teachers, attend internationally acclaimed musical / dance performances, all while being able to visit cultural British and London sites and museums.

How can you Help?

Ignite! is asking for any donation amount to help send more dancers. Our goal is to raise $6,000 per dancer to cover travel, accommodations, costumes, and other key expenses. Every tax-deductible donation goes directly toward supporting these talented young artists, giving them the chance to share their passion and represent East Tennessee on an international stage.

Here are some specifics on how your donation can support these dancers:

$50 - Helps cover the cost of meals for one dancer for a day

$100 - Contributes to the cost of transportation within London

$500 - Supports accommodation for one dancer for one week

$1,000 - Assists with airfare for one dancer

$3,000 - Covers half of a dancer’s participation in the program

$6,000 - Sponsors a dancer’s full participation in the program

Donation will be accepted through Project Be Kind, a nonprofit organization supporting and sponsoring the cultural exchange. Your donation can be via a check written to Project Be Kind and mailed to 4216 Sutherland Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37919 with Ignite!
